Praying the Angelus with Art: This Week's Image

This triptych with St Jerome and St John the Baptist is by the "Maestro de la Santa Sangre" (Master of the Precious Blood.) We are at the beginning of the Annunciation: Gabriel's greeting, "Ave, Gratia plena" does not have a response yet.

Here is the central panel; the full triptych can be seen beneath it.

I've been enjoying Praying the Angelus for quite a while now and prayerfully thank Sr. Anne for her ministry. But I can't view any of the images any longer - not in the weekly email or on this Call to Prayer website. I see just big blank boxes in the email and on the website. This has been going on for little over a month or two. Have others also had issues?

Oh, dear. You are the first to mention it, but here it is. I will have to investigate.

Sister Anne, today's email displayed all the photos perfectly! Thank you and blessings.

I have had some trouble viewing the images also, just recently. Usually, but not always, they are blocked in my rss feed (Feedbin) but I can see them if I click through to the website, but sometimes they are blocked there too. I think my browser (Firefox) has increased its security settings.

Thank you for putting this website together! It is a wonderful inspiration.

About the Angelus Project

We rightly admire Muslim neighbors and co-workers who put everything on hold five times a day in answer to the "call to prayer." But Christians have a call to prayer, too! It is the Angelus. Morning, noon and evening we are invited to pause and reaffirm our faith in the Incarnation: The Word was made flesh and dwelt among us (Jn. 1:14), because "God so loved the world that he sent his only Son" (Jn. 3:16).
The Angelus Project is a personal project of Sister Anne Flanagan, FSP, a Daughter of St Paul. Find out more about the media ministry of the Daughters of St Paul at DaughtersofStPaul.com.
